Closing Thoughts For The Reunion

On Friday July 31, 2015 we had about 54 people who registered.  Saturday August 1, 2015 we had a total of 130 attending.  It was hard to tell because everyone was spread out all over.  Dinner at the Golf Course we had 54 adults and 7 children.  Meal was delishious.  Sunday August 2, 2015 we only had about 20 people to the service and about the same at the farm for coffee and food.  Nice gathering some repeats but a lot of new relatives attended this time.  It was great.  One of the highlights for me was meeting a Rains family member who had been adopted out and met his Rains family about 5 years ago, he attended with his daughter and girlfriend and other members of his immediate family.

Lots of food, everything seemed to workout ok with the potluck.

Great desserts, fruit etc

Tractor ride for the big & little kids

Second cousin and first cousin just being silly

Golf Course for dinner

Sunday Church Service with Faye Stevens doing the honours in a thunder & lightening storm

Coffee and goodies in the farmhouse & porch after Church, nice in cozy with a little bit of rain going on outside.

I would like to thank everyone who came to the Reunion.  We had a little ceremony and handed the Canadian, British and American Flags to the youngest member from each country.  My hope is that one day they will all meet back here on the Island for another reunion.
Gil Burleigh from England is taking the British Flag back to England to give to his granddaughter Molly Rose Hyde. She is  two and half years old.
The Canadian Flag is with Everett Ramsay 8 weeks old.   Neely Lieberman is taking  the American Flag.  She is 6 years old.

Thanks again
